Young Blood
The new wave of contemporary artistsCity Park ConstantaOct. 14 – Nov. 16

“― There are no more artists like there used to be, man! ― Yeah, no more actors either… I mean, even now, believe me, I still watch the old ones and laugh my head off… ― And what about all the nonsense these people put on the Internet and call it art… Is that art? My granddaughter can do that stuff… ― There’ll never be another Michelangelo…”
Oh, but they are being born! They’re being born all the time and there are many, more and more; they’re talented, each of them wants to tell a story. There are over a thousand young artists who have things to share, and among them at least a hundred are exceptional, and ten absolutely remarkable. But… we’re not really willing to listen, and especially not to try to understand what these young people want with their art.
“Art? Now? Don’t you see, man, the war’s starting, the plague is coming, the asteroid’s going to hit us? And you think we care about art right now?!”
The clear answer is: “Yes, man, right now is the moment!”
Why? Because art will always speak about hope, about what remains dreamy inside people even in the harshest conditions; art is what has been with us ever since we lived in caves.
What do you say, man? Give these young folks a chance — it might just be beautiful!
