Her. The Queen and the Sea

Art Safari will open to the public, in March 2026, an unique exhibition in the emblematic space of the Constanta Casino, recently reopened to the public and the national cultural circuit. “Her. The Queen and the Sea” is an exhibition concept specially designed for the seaside Casino, bringing to the fore the complex figure of Queen Marie of Romania, the country’s most beloved sovereign and one of the most powerful female figures in Romanian history. Through a selection of cultural artefacts from both museum and private collections, the exhibition offers an insight into the Queen’s artistic and spiritual universe, highlighting her deep connection with the Black Sea and the city of Constanța, places that inspired her and nourished her creativity and sensitivity.

The exhibition “Her. The Queen and the Sea” was designed as an exhibition journey that brings closer to the public a complex personality, a Queen who loved Romania, who was inspired by the country’s landscapes, including the Black Sea coast, where she often found refuge.
