In an era where the internet and broadband connections make an ocean of digital music available to us in a second, Alexandru Marinov collects vinyl records. Alexandru Marinov is, in essence, what we call a record selector. Starting from cassettes and CDs and ending, ironically, with vinyl, music has been part of Marinov’s life since the early 90s.
A radio enthusiast, he collaborated with Radio Republika Verde for 5 years, as a moderator and playlist manager, while also working as a content manager for Mediaforest between 2010 and 2012. Between 2013 and 2016, he was curator and Playlist Manager for the first 100% Romanian streaming service, Zonga. He started collecting vinyl music in 2013, and the residency for the Groove and Portocale labels came naturally between 2016 and 2020, and in 2018 he became the moderator of the Orange Room show.
