Heaven on Earth

Feb. 25 – Jul. 25 2027

Heaven on Earth offers a journey into one of the most enduring and captivating themes of European art: the fascination with Paradise and Arcadia, the mythical realm of perfect harmony between humanity and nature. Bringing together works by leading Romanian and European artists of the twentieth century, the exhibition explores how the idea of Paradise has inspired generations of artists, from idyllic landscapes to the longing for an ideal world. In dialogue with Horia-Roman Patapievici’s reflections on Arcadia and the lost Paradise, the exhibition poses a timeless question: where can Heaven on Earth still be found today?
