Dana & Stéphane Maitec are professional photographers who form an artist duo from 2002. With an outstanding international career in portrait photography, with exhibitions in Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Geneva and Los Angeles, with a long standing collaboration with famous publications, among which Financial Times, the two artists create, in their new series, Reflections, a new artistic genre. At a first glance, their most recent works may seem similar to painting or, due to the perfect illusion of three-dimensionality, to sculpture: but these images are a new way of making photography, by means of a fluid play of reflections using prisms, collage and sculptural objects made of reflective materials. In these photos, chromatic innovation, reflexion and volumetry play the main role, with no further digital intervention.
