What is an art fair?
The art fair is a component of the international art market that brings together, under the same roof, galleries, art institutions, art lovers, collectors and the public. Within an art fair artworks from different periods are exhibited and sold, under a curatorial concept defined by each exhibitor.
Art Safari also includes an exhibition area dedicated to museums and cultural institutions. This area is non-commercial, the works exhibited are not for sale.
How can I visit Art Safari?
Access to the fair site requires a valid admission ticket. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult and have free access.

Where will Art Safari take place?
This year Art Safari will take place at Kretzulescu Galleries, 45 Calea Victoriei St. (next to the National Art Museum). In 2016 the location was Dacia-Romania Palace, historical building in the Old Center of Bucharest, located at18-20 Lipscani St., Bucharest; in 2015 Ciclop monument building from Magheru Blvd. and in 2014 in George Enescu Sq. in a specially designed temporary construction.
What is the anticipated number of visitors?
During Art Safari 2017 we expect to reach 65,000 visitors. Over 60,000 visitors to the previous editions.
Is it allowed to photograph and film at Art Safari?
Filming and photography are allowed within Art Safari. To film or photograph exhibits within stands, one needs the exhibitors’ consent.
Can I buy artworks?
Yes, artworks exhibited within the commercial sections of Art Safari can be purchased (all sections except Museums & Cultural Institutions).
How can I get the Art Safari catalog?

What is a Guided Tour?
Visitors will have the opportunity to find out more about the art fair, its participants and their exhibits from art market specialists by attending the Art Safari Guided Tours. Guided tours take about one hour and are designed for groups of maximum 20 people. More details are available here, Guided tours section.
How many galleries will attend the art fair?
Around 70 galleries and cultural institutions, from Romania and abroad, will attend the forth edition of Art Safari. The exact number of participants will be available before the starting date of the art fair. In 2016 60 contemporary art galleries were present.
Which are the participating countries?
The exact list of participating galleries will be available before the starting date of the art fair. So far galleries from Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Austria and Denmark participated at the fair.
Are there any spaces or programs designed for children?
Yes, a dedicated space called Art Safari Kids will be available for visitors with children where we will organize different workshops. More details will be available before the starting date of the art fair. In 2016, 700 kids participated at the artsy workshops from Art Safari Kids.
What is the size of the exhibition area?
The exhibition area for Art Safari 2017 will have around 5,500 sqm.
Is it allowed to eat and drink within Art Safari?
Within Art Safari’s space will operate at least one restaurant and one cafe, where visitors will be able to purchase and consume salads, sandwiches, soda, coffee etc. Eating and drinking outside the designated area is forbidden.
Is there any parking space?
Yes, nearby Art Safari’s location there will be several parking spaces.
